Early 20th C Louis XV style Small Chest of Drawers

vintage fully restored French Louis XV antique style, parquetry inlaid, three drawer chest with applied ormolu mounts and handles. The piece is veneered in a geometric 'diamond' pattern inlays, raised on elegant cabriole legs with brass sabot feet and shaped corners. The top with parquetry inlay is an elegant touch (more often these chests are marble topped) to a versatile small chest of drawers. Ideal for a hallway console, lamp table or a bedroom cabinet.

This chest dates to the early 20th century, probably around 1920, although similar examples are often dated to the end of the 19th century.

Size: height 81 cm width 59 cm and depth 32cm each drawer is 12 cm deep.

Condition: This is a fully restored chest of drawers, all our restoration is always sympathetic to the history of a piece and this is no exception, there were no faults to the structure, the table required reviving and re-polishing without killing the patina, all of which has been completed to the highest standard ready to be used again.
