Born in Liverpool, in 1939, he was educated there, trained as a graphic designer then worked in advertising agencies in Liverpool for 20 years. Taylor made his home in the 1970's in a small village located near Oswestry.
It was the encouragement of other professional artists that led Taylor to push his artistic abilities towards miniature paintings. The majority of his miniature works are made with gouache and painted onto a black mount board. Much of the artist’s inspiration has come from the surrounding seasonal changes, found along country lanes and areas around his home.
Ken Taylor’s work has been sold worldwide and has many collectors. He has exhibited and sold many works at exhibitions, including the Hilliard Society of Miniaturists and the Royal Academy, London.
