New England Watercolour by Gary Shepard

This watercolour dates to 1992 and is by the celebrated New England artist Gary Shepard (b. 1951). This picture is entitled 'Autumns Reflections' and is in the trademark style of this painter, his use of watercolour board rather than paper ensures his technique creates and captures the vibrant colours of his native New England.

This is ready to hang, has no issues either to the picture, which is as bright and crisp today as it was when painted 30 years ago and the high-quality frame is equally fine and properly reflecting the quality of this artists work.

The picture is 18 inches by 14 1/4 inches and the frame is 26 1/2 inches by 22 1/2 inches.

His professional art career began in the early 70's as a watercolourist. In recent years Gary ventured into oil painting and still maintains a realistic look. He approaches all his painting with the same vigour as his watercolours, the mood of his watercolours and oils are equally dramatic.

He paints mostly landscapes and street scenes in his own natural style as seen in this watercolour he is especially attracted to light and atmosphere.

Shepard exhibits in various galleries throughout New England and has been represented throughout the country. In his early years, he exhibited in many shows which he received numerous awards and recognition.
