Oil on Panel - Poppies and Poplars by G. Davies

A fine mid to late 20th century landscape painting in the impressionist style by English artist Gregory Davies (b. 1947), entitled 'Poppies and Poplars'. There is a distinct subtlety associated with the light and detailing of this picture as well as in the technique building up the contours and textured colours that captured the haze that one can associate with the summer landscapes, layers of light and shade that lift the image, offering the viewer a wonderful vision.

Framed in its original gilded frame with linen slips.
