Timothy Easton is a prolific contemporary artist with a multiplicity of images ranging from the coastal sailing pictures around Fowey in the west country to interiors landscapes as well as sporting and gardens, all with a keen eye for the colourful and for the most part the pictures could be described as joyous. this particular, almost birds-eye view of the regatta in the bay is entitled 'Troys in Majesty', a wonderful perspective and a carefully observed snapshot of competitive sailing.
This is a framed and glazed limited edition print numbered 16 of 75, pencil signed in the margin by the artist as well as numbered and titled by his hand.

Artist notes:
He was born in 1943 and encouraged by his father's passion for collecting paintings and his own keen interest in drawing, Easton decided he wished to become an artist. Educated at Cranleigh, Mowdon Hall and Christ's College, Brecon and then studied at Kingston College of Art 1960-1964 and, with a scholarship, studied at Heatherley's in London 1966-1967 from where he won an Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Award that enabled him to travel for a year in Italy and northern Europe.
On his return to England, he began work as a portrait painter and church muralist, completing several commissions for large figurative murals, including those at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Tadworth, Surrey and the Theological College, Salisbury.
