An evocative Limited Edition, framed and glazed Litho Print by Lindsay McCrea entitled "Edinburgh Sunset'' (number 54 of 300) taken from his original watercolour. Signed in pencil by the artist also titled and numbered by him.
The picture clearly highlights McCrea's appealing awareness of tradition with a sensitive use of the palate to show the light and city shapes that help to make Edinburgh what it is. It captures the mood and the stature of this important city and its heritage perfectly.
The Artist:
Lindsay McCrea was born in Glasgow before moving with his family to the village of Armadale in sutherland. After travelling to New Zealand and Australia, he settled on Edinburgh, where after an interest in photography, he moved on to painting in watercolor to record and portray Scotland and her facets in a free flowing style.
Latterly his most evocative images have been produced in print, proving extremely popular and including the Capital City limited edition prints. His watercolours are keenly sought after and displayed in many parts of the world.
