Circa 1880 Glazed Parian Figure 'Tragedy'

A large and quite rare figure from the 19th century, circa 1880 and we believe to be from W H Goss. Although Parian is largely undecorated and remains unglazed, this figure entitled 'Tragedy' and its companion (Comedy) when they do appear are usually subtlety decorated with spot colour and glazed. This is a well modelled and decorated figure.

Size: 35 cm high with a 11 cm diameter base.

Condition: excellent, displays beautifully, there is a tiny nick in the edge of the socle style base. Otherwise no issues to report.
