Large 19th C. Staffordshire Figure Fruit Seller

Large 19th C. Staffordshire Figure Fruit Seller

£145

A mid 19th century Staffordshire pottery display figure of a male fruit seller, in a frock coat suggests it to be a very fanciful depiction of market seller, however it is a romantic and very decorative piece, well modeled and also large standing 13 inches high with a width of 6 inches. The decoration is executed with more care than many figures of this type and era.

The condition is also excellent, there is no damage and the usual worn out decoration is not evident, a little rubbing to the black shoes (black on these figures always suffers more than any of the other colours).

Size: 35 cm high ( 13 inches) 16 cm wide (6 inches) unpacked weight 1.736 kg
