19th C. Silver & Turquoise Cylinder Scent Bottle

A fine example of an English 19th century unusual deep turquoise blue scent bottle with a sterling silver hinged cover. Assayed in Birmingham 1894 made by Hilliard and Thomason.

This has a scroll work repousse hinged lid with a blank/vacant petal shape cartouche on the top. It is a plain cylinder form and unusually is in a deep turquoise blue glass. The interior has its original glass stopper.

This example is in fabulous condition, the silver is in undamaged and unmarked condition, the glass is also in original condition., the mounts and hinges along with stopper are as they would have been back in the late 1800's, solid and tight.

Size: 8 cm high with a base diameter of 2 cm.
