Circa 1820 Brass 'Double Heart' Trivet

This is an early 19th century heavy, cast brass trivet, the casting typical of the period includes the three legs as integral. This has a rich patina and colour associated with old brass. It is a good size, 26.5 cm long and 10.5 cm wide, standing 2.6 cm high. The casting is a stylized heart with two internal vacant heart shapes, there is also a reverse heart in the solid pointed end of the trivet.

This is in excellent condition, aged patina and solid as the day it was cast.
