Pair of 19th Century Gilt Bronze Cherub Candlesticks
£795
French, circa 1890, Dore Bronze Cherub Putti on a shaped and polished marble base, a pair of figurative candlesticks formed as a male and female winged cherub/putti. The modelling and detail of the bronzes is excellent, and very subtle but still definite male and female , so a true pair.
These are ready to display, they have slight use marks to small areas of the gilding, the photographs show it's patina, they haven't been regilded so are honest original 150 year old sticks.
These are a good size for any environment, single sconce and still a good decorative and practical scale to sit a good size candle in. Could work on a console , a mantel or even as a dining table addition.
Size: height 25 cm and base diameter is 11 cm
