Circa 1900 Silver Plated Cream and Sugar Set
£70
Dating to around 1900, this large size creamer and sugar set on stand is a quality version of this style of tableware. The gadroon embellishment is a cast rather than repousse band and the body of both the jug and the bowl are of a good weighty gauge. The stand/caddy is also well shaped and sits nicely on its hollow bun feet, the two pieces sit perfectly in their respective sockets. The plating is also of a high standard and this is evident in its lack of wear etc. All in all a commendable piece of late Victorian silver plate.
Size: overall the set is 13 cms high, has an overall length of 22cm and a maximum depth of 14 cm. (unpacked weight is 384 gms).
Condition is excellent.
Marks: EPNS England and a hard to decipher makers trade mark.
