Edwardian Silver Plate Quatrefoil Gallery Tray

A exceptional condition late 19th/early 20th century silverplate quatrefoil gallery tray. These trays are often known as cocktail trays due to their smaller size (being 37.5 cm long and 18 cm width)

The fine pierced gallery is typical of the period as is the flat flying handles. It also features four bun/ball feet.

This is a heavy and superb quality piece, as well as an uncommon stylish shaped tray. To do it justice this was re-silvered to a premium quality of no less than 50 microns but more towards 100 microns of 999 grade silver. It is now offered as an "as new" item and one that will hopefully endure another 120 odd years of use.
