Mappin & Webb Silver Collar Whisky Noggins

A rare find, a matched pair of globular form whisky noggins, body handle and neck deep cut crystal and silver collar with full makers marks for the esteemed Mappin and Webb. Hallmarks for 1937 assayed in Birmingham and sterling grade silver.

Each of these unusual miniature whisky jug/decanters has a fully hallmarked silver collar, the maker's shield mark, anchor, lion passant and date letter 'N' as well as a spelled maker's name of MAPPIN & WEBB.

The size is approximate (due to the irregular shape) however for guidance the body diameter is 3 inches, the handle extends beyond the body by 1/2 inch, the neck and spout have an overall height of 3/4 inch, the stopper extends this a further 5/8th inch.

Condition: These have been used but there is no damage or wear to the body or the collar, the bottom of both stoppers is nibbled, we have photographed the stoppers so one can see the condition, it is not major as illustrated but equally they are not perfect.
