Sterling Silver pique tortoiseshell vanity jar
£150
A silver and tortoiseshell, medium size, covered dressing table jar decorated in the Edwardian style silver pique. Full set of hallmarks for London 1921 and the maker is Cork & Apthorp (1917 to 1927).
This is a push top cover and as such fits nice and snug, no issues with the fit. The lid is tortoiseshell and that is inlaid with silver pique in an elaborate foliate decoration. There are also no condition issues to report. The glass jar has the added mark of quality having a star cut base, there is no signs of wear to the base, it would seem to have spent its life on a soft surface.
Size: maximum diameter 65 mm , overall height 50 mm
